Somalia: Kenyan Police gun down two Somalis in East-Leigh

The early reports which Somaliweyn website has received from the Kenyan capital Nairobi say that the Kenyan Police have overnight shoot dead two Somali men right in East-Leigh, which is a section of Nairobi, and mainly dominated by Somalis.

“In fact the killing of the two men is very mysterious some say that they were gangsters who rob the Somali people in East-Leigh while some say that they are innocent men who were deliberately killed by the Kenyan police who were patrolling in East-Leigh” said Hassan Ali Yoonis a Somali who lives in Nairobi.

The emerging reports about the killing of the two men are very contradicting, and yet the Kenyan police spokesman has not commented about the killing of the two Somali men.

The killing of these two men has created an atmosphere of anxiety among the other Somalis in Nairobi particularly those in East-Leigh.

Nairobi is one of the cities in Africa where Somalis live in their hundreds, and run smart businesses, just like Kampala in Uganda, but some face challenges from the citizens and as well as the authorities of the countries.
